Match report After last week's resounding victory, Worly welcomed top of the table Mildenhall to Bedfield. With the outfield still damp from overnight rain, Dan lost the toss and was asked to bat. Eric made a belligerent start; however, he quickly lost Rob, Ed and DK before being joined by debutant Nick at 48 for 3. The two batted without alarm taking the score to 107 at drinks before Eric fell for a well made 59 at 124. David joined Nick and the two scored freely as a score of 200 was soon in sight. At the close, the partnership had reached 105 with Nick and David unbeaten on 86 and 58 respectively. Nick's innings particularly impressive having not played for a number of years. Despite a good pitch, Mildenhall struggled in response against the ever reliable Rodders. Indeed, by the 12th over, they had slumped to 26 for 6. However, the visitors' experienced Nos 7 and 8 steadied the ship and, despite some excellent bowling from Harry, Worly struggled to take the 7th wicket, 3 difficult drops not helping the cause. Just as it looked like Mildenhall would bat out their overs, DK and David took 3 of the 4 required wickets; however, the final wicket proved elusive and Worly had to settle for 19 points.
