Match report With Rodders not playing, the captaincy duties were undertaken by David and to prove that he had taken on Rodders' guidance he promptly lost the toss and Worly were inserted. David and Sam opened and put on 53 for the 1st wicket at more than 5 an over. Runs continued to flow but with only a top score of 39 so did the wickets. That said, 7 batsmen did pass 20 against a youthful Yoxford bowling attack who unsurprisingly struggled at times with the strong, blustery wind. With a slow outfield, it was always likely that the target of 225 would be beyond the bottom club and 2 early wickets from Harry didn't help their cause. A partnership of 61 followed but once Nos 3 and 4 fell there was little further resistance with David claiming 2 wickets in 2 balls to close out the innings. Overall a good performance, particularly given the weather conditions. A week off from the league next week as Worly welcome Mandarins to Bedfield for their annual touring game.
