Worlingworth Cricket Club Lost By 83 Runs

Match report Our first ever ladies hard ball match… and our T20 league debut! The feedback was that we put on a good first performance and, most importantly, we enjoyed it! Bardwell were very encouraging for which we thank them.

We lost the toss and they batted first. We had two amazing catches from Jess and some good bowling with wickets from Kate and Tamsin. Jemma , even though had only been to one practice session was a natural behind the stumps, Well done to all of you. There was notable fielding on the boundary from Lucy, whose enthusiasm meant injury, subsequently a runner was required when she went in to bat, and she then stayed in the longest of all of us!


Well done to Tamsin for some good batting, getting the most runs for us.

We gave away 41 extras from wides and no balls, and average of one wayward ball per over, which I don’t think is too bad for a first outing at all!

Thank you so much to Fiona Bensly for scoring and Graham Mobbs for umpiring. Above and beyond to turn out all that way to support us and very much appreciated. What a beautiful day for it and the tea was sumptuous!

So, we lost, as expected, but took away a lot of positives… looking forward to the next one already!
