Great Bromley v Worlingworth Cricket Club 1st XI on Sat 21 Jul 2018 at 1.00pm
Worlingworth Cricket Club Won by 5 wkts

Match report After the disappointment of the last over defeat last week, Worly travelled to Gt Bromley having won the reverse fixture at the start of May. On another dry, hot day Rodders won the toss and inserted the hosts. Three early wickets helped restrict Bromley; however, their middle order started to take advantage of rapid outfield and short boundaries and a score of over 250 was on the cards. After the problems of last week, the bowlers managed to stem the flow and a final total of 212 seemed below par. The Worly response started badly with 2 wickets falling in the first 2 overs; however, John and Rob steadied the ship before taking the game to Bromley. However, having completed their 100 partnership, both fell to successive balls and Will unluckily followed shortly afterwards. With 80 required off 20 overs with 5 wickets remaining, the game was in the balance, Ed and Mark batted cautiously initially but soon started to take control and the winning runs came with 8 overs remaining. A great result after last week's disappointment.
