Worlingworth Cricket Club 1st XI v Long Melford II on Sat 16 Jun 2018 at 1.00pm
Worlingworth Cricket Club Won by 50 runs

Match report After the disappointment of last week's 4-run defeat, Worly turned out their strongest 11 against the 10-man visitors to Bedfield. Rodders won the toss and unusually elected to bat. Mobbsy fell in the 6th over but Dom and Ed then dominated the visitor's bowlers to drinks reaching 103 for 1. Dom fell for 78 with Rob joining Ed before taking the score up to 150. The innings then had a too familiar Worly collapse with 5 wkts falling for 2 runs. However, Rodders and Dan kept Eric company while he took the hosts to the 5th batting point off the last ball of the innings. In reply, Rodders took a wkt in the first over and the visitors never really kept up with the required rate losing wkts at regularly intervals until some late hitting by the visiting captain gave them an outside chance. However, Dan and Jono finished off the innings with 50 runs still required.
