Match report An excellent game, played in good spirit. Unfortunately, Worly managed to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory when well placed chasing the 212 target. Earlier in the day, Rodders won the toss and inserted the opposition, a decision that at 114 for 0 at drinks looked to have backfired. However, the Worly bowlers stuck to their guns and wickets eventually started to fall with Rodders taking 4 and Mark 3 but not before the visitors had reached 211. In response, Graham set about the bowling before falling with the score at 78. Rob and Ed kept rotating the strike before the former fell just after drinks with 100 required. Dave settled well and at 167 for 2 off 36 overs the game was there to win; however, at that score, both Dave and Eric fell with the new batsmen finding it difficult to get going. Wickets kept falling but with 5 required from the final 2 overs Worly hoped to fall over the line. Hope was soon erased with the final 2 wickets falling in 2 balls.
