Match report Match v Easton

Safe to say We were a bit daunted by an older side with three U15 county players who really showed their talent.

We won the toss and chose to bowl first, which saw wickets from Tabitha, Ellen, Fliss and a fantastic one from Alyssa, great bowling from you ladies. Some very near misses too! But we were still giving away too many runs as wides, which we will practise on.

The second innings saw Tamsin and Jessica bowled in quick succession and then Grace was caught. Tabby, Ellen and Fliss then did us proud and all stayed in for the full 20 balls when they had to retire, with a four from Ellen and two fours from Fliss. Alyssa was caught and Katie bowled, which saw the return of our retired batsmen. The end of the innings saw us on 88 runs to Easton's 150.

Some more confident batting, running and fielding would have improved the Worly score. We will keep practising!

All credit to the girls for keeping their spirits high in the face of stiff opposition at an unfamiliar ground. A pleasure as always.
