Match report Worly returned to League action after last week's friendly against Mandarins. Once again, Rodders won the toss and inserted the opposition. An excellent bowling performance with all 5 bowlers contributing to a below par score by Sudbourne. Fortunately, a couple of dropped catches didn't prove costly. Good to see the youngsters contribute with a fine bowling spell by Harry and excellent fielding display by Ryan. The Worly innings started positively and had reached 41 for 1 off 11 overs when the hosts introduced spin. This saw a change in fortunes with wickets falling and only the odd single. However, with Ed still at the wicket, Worly still had a chance despite the score of 61 for 6 after 21 overs. A hobbling Rob joined Ed and the ship was steadied with the required run rate only reaching 5 an over as the total passed 100. Some intelligent batting and selective hitting from Ed saw Worly home with 2.2 overs to spare with Ed finishing on a masterful 83.
