Match report Finally, at the 6th time of asking, Rodders won the toss and, while not as an important as the previous week, fielding first was an advantage on a slow pitch after the midweek rain. The visitors batted cautiously for the first 28 overs reaching 75 for 3 with a score of less than 150 on the cards; however, a rapid 37 from the visiting No 5 finally allowed the late order to push the total up to 175 despite excellent bowling from Sam and 4 wickets for Ed. Worly's response was equally cautious with 58 on the board at drinks with both home openers struggling to get the ball away. However, Sudbourne's back-up bowlers failed to maintain the pressure and the scoring rate rose quickly despite the loss of 4 wickets - Terry running himself out for a solid 64 with only 2 runs required. A great overall performance with all 11 playing their part against the strongest opponents thus far this year.
