Match report Worly welcomed Mandarins to Bedfield for their annual tour match on a fine sunny, if a little windy, day. Matt dominated the Worly innings with 93, ably assisted by Dom, Sam B-K and Graham - a Mandarin guest as the game was played as a 12-a-side/35 over game. 220 was a formidable score and Mandarins were put further on the back foot by tight spells from Mark, Harry and Sam B-K at the start of their innings. Indeed, there was no let up from the hosts as the introduction of the youngsters tightened their grip with David bowling a fantastic spell for 3 richly deserved wickets supported by Matt Nesling for his first wickets in adult cricket. Gibbsy also picked up 2 wickets in an economical 6-over spell to leave Mandarins well short of their target. A good win for Worly and encouraging to see the youngsters play so well.
