Match report After winning the first 2 games, Worly entertained Stowupland for a first home game of the season. Terry won the toss and elected to bat on a beautiful afternoon for cricket. Dom, in belligerent mode, escaped a drop first ball to dominate the visitors' bowling, finally out for 71 from an opening stand of 117. Rob (56) and Eric (40) continued to accumulate runs; however, after both were out, the innings petered out, only just passing 200 and crucially giving up 2 overs.

Stowupland innings followed the pattern of earlier in the day with a century opening stand followed by wickets tumbling toward the end. Terry proved his versatility by claiming 5 wickets, helped by 4 catches from the youngsters (Will 2, Zac and Eric!)with Toby claiming a 6th wicket. Stowupland, in trying to secure the winning run, lost 2 wickets to run outs, leaving one run required with one wicket remaining (the visitors' 11th man absent injured) from the final 4 balls of the 47 overs. Unfortunately, their no 9 confidentally dispatched the ball through mid off for 4. A disappointing end to a game where minor errors ultimately proved costly.
