Match report After losing the toss Worlingworth were put into bat on a sticky slow greentop. The loss of two early wickets added pressure to the difficulty posed by the variable bounce(slow and even slower), but the ship was steadied by Terry (60) and Eric (41)whose partnership of(93)allowed Snelly and Graham to accelerate in the final few overs to an impressive 181 total. Throughout the day the wicket dried and batting appeared easier; the opening batsmen for Rumburgh certainly thought so and set off at a charge, aided by some indifferent bowling by mark and Sam. As the game seemed to be ebbing away Eric and Sam Gibbs were brought on to lob a few hand grenades in honour of VE Day and to everyone's surprise took a couple of crucial wickets to make a fight of it. Unfortunately the damage had already been done and Rumburgh squeezed over the line.
