Match report For our second game of the season we entertained Elveden for our first home game. At 10am with rain pouring and dark clouds looming the prospect of a full game looked slim, however once the clouds cleared alongside some good groundwork the fixture went ahead.

The Elveden skipper won the toss and elected to bowl first, meaning we would be batting first for the second week in a row.

Once again, Terry and Sam got us off to a flyer, with Terry manipulating the field making lots of 1s and 2s, whilst Sam was playing booming drives and rattling up a score in no time at all. Unfortunately when Sam got out after making a superb 50, the wheels came off and we found ourselves 5 wickets down with less than a 100 on the board.

Up stepped Noah, and with a quickfire 48 with some expansive cricket shots we managed to get our score up to 213, with the lower order chipping in with some vital runs.

So in we went for a lovely tea (courtesy of Fiona), extremely pleased with our batting efforts having being put in by the Elveden skipper.

We got off to a flyer with Matty showing exceptional prowess in the field to run out their opening batsman. Our opening bowlers then carried on from where they left off the week before, with Simon picking up another 4 for, and Sam picking up 2 wickets with some quick, hostile bowling, leaving Elveden 17-5 at one point. The remaining wickets were shared out between Pete, Terry and Gibbsy, with Elveden all out for just 62.

Another fantastic performance from all the boys, top standards in every department which secured us our second win of the season from our opening two games.
