Match report Hurrah sun at long last! A lovely sunny evening at a very well manicured Mildenhall CC ground. Ready to play the second round in the Cup competition
the captains went off to toss the coin which Mildenhall won and they opted to bat first. The Mildenhall batsmen got off to a good start. We had moments of brilliance in the field with 2 catches for both Will and Matt but then there were 5 dropped catches, which was not so good. On the whole, our bowling was accurate with particularly good spells from the middle order bowlers Josh Mayhew, Zac Berry and Jack Marsh; however, Toby was by far the most effective bowler and it was good to see him back in the team, his final figures were 4 0 13 2. Also encouraging to see us give up only 26 extras. Midenhall finished on 145 for the loss of 4 wickets from their 20 overs.

Worly went into bat with Zac and Matt as our openers. Despite a steady start, Mildenhall bowled really well and soon had Worly in trouble with 5 wickets down. However, Matt held the innings together, eventually retiring on 50 in the 19th over. He was ably supported by Harry Carver, Toby and Jack Robertson who all batted well. We were reached 93 for 6 in our 20 overs, a credible performance against one of the stronger teams in Suffolk.

Overall, a most pleasing performance from all the boys especially as we only had 10.
