Easton v Worlingworth Cricket Club U11s on Fri 23 May 2014 at 18:00
Worlingworth Cricket Club Lost by 48 runs
Match report
So our visit to Easton was in glorious sunshine in a beautiful setting. Easton had requested to play 10 a side so we had a good number of players for Worly.
Worly won the toss & batted first - strong first pairing of Josh & Olly who combined got 21 runs. Second was Charlie & Grace followed by Troy & Tamsin, next up Luke & Felix, Luke hitting a 4, then Seb & Fraser, with Seb also hitting a 4. A far more confident batting from the group but would like to see a few more quick singles rather than being too cautious.
Then we went to bowl, Josh, Olly & Felix all getting wickets, Grace with a lovely catch, great fielding, consistent bowling especially Luke who only gave away 3 runs in each of his 3 overs. Charlie made his debut as Wicket Keeper.
Unfortunately Easton scored 31 runs from wides & no balls.
So we lost by 48 runs but on the positive this was our best batting result so far this season - a far more confident team who appear to be talking to one another more & creating a great team spirit.
Although we lost I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed watching this game as I thought we were all outstanding.
Man of the Match - Charlie Bagnall for his debut as Wicket Keeper - well done Charlie a great performance.
