Match report Our first game of the season was in the Suffolk cup at home to Melton Achilles. A nice but cool evening. Melton won the toss and elected to bat. After a good start by our opening bowling pair of Toby and Jack we let Melton back into the game with some weaker bowling. Melton's Tom and Josh quickly adding 50+ runs before individually retiring. With 59 extras, the chasing total was 124.

A good opening innings by Ollie and well supported by Josh brought the score along nicely but the run rate was too slow to worry Melton. Ollie retired on 28 and with accurate bowling and good fielding from Melton, Worly were unable to close the gap, losing by 60 runs.

The new format of elected bowlers and batsmen was a learning curve and we will set ourselves up differently next match - away to Yoxford.
