Match report Our last U11's league game was our rearranged match away to Mellis. It was a beautiful wam evening in beautiful surroundings.

Mellis won the toss and elected to bat first. Mellis were off to a quick start, not helped by some wayward bowling and a very fast outfield, which we struggled to adapt to.

The runs kept ticking along but an excellent over by Matty - resulting in 2 quick wickets helped keep the score down. However, with 21 wides bowled Mellis had set us a big total of 320 to chase down.

Our opening pair of Zac and Luke soon found out how quick the pitch was, with Luke having to temporarily retire after receiving a ball to the thigh, being replaced by Seb for the remains of his 2 overs.

Luke had recovered and partnered Charlie in the second pair and kept the score ticking along boosted by Mellis's generous extras.

Harry and Troy came in as the third pair and played well with some good running for no loss of wicket.

The final pair of Joe and Matty continued to add some runs but with a loss of 2 wickets we finished on 232.
