Worlingworth Cricket Club Lost by 55 runs.

Match report A late change to the venue saw Worly playing Easton at Brandeston Hall. Conditions were great - warm and still. Playing on a grass pitch was a new experience to many of the players but they took it in their stride.

Worly won the toss and Josh elected to field first. With a short boundary and fast outfield, runs should be easy to find. Some good spells of bowling saw a steady rate of wickets fall - thanks also to some excellent catching in the field. The bowling was much improved but there were too many overthrows - something to work on. Easton finished on 282 with the loss of 8 wickets.

In reply Worly played steady and it was great to see that everyone contributed to the positive scoring. Our defensive play was much better, with the loss of 6 wickets. Easton's accurate bowling kept the run-rate down and we finished 227, 55 runs behind.

A great all round performance against a strong Easton side. MoM: Charlie and Matty for gritty batting and excellent fielding contribution.
