ECB Suffolk - Support Coach Course - Last minute availabilty

Please see email below regarding this course.  This would be great for anyone looking to help with coaching or supporting at training sessions next season.  If you are interested please sign up, then let me know; the club has some funds that can go towards volunteer training; we will be able to cover the cost of this and reimburse you if you are able to support the club with next seasons training.

Morning All
 
I wanted to let you know there are still places available on the upcoming Support Coach course. This course is ideally suited for parents, guardians, senior players, children (min 16 years), who'd like to help the Lead Coaches at their club. I've attached further details, however if anyone has any questions please let me know, otherwise please click on link below to book;

Time: 9.30am - 12.30pm
Cost: £50

The ECB Support Coach programme is the assistant coach provision for cricket coaching in England and Wales.

This programme is part of a strategic response to needing more support (assistant) coaches on the ground able to inspire and develop players. The programme makes becoming a coach much more accessible in terms of time commitment and cost. The course is designed to make taking your first steps onto the coaching pathway fun, interesting and engaging and enables candidates to make a real difference to their club and community.

ECB Support Coach replaces the previous Coach Support Worker provision.

Programme descriptor - This programme has been designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to support qualified coaches and enhance player experience. An ECB Support Coach is not qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and therefore must be supervised by a qualified cricket coach.

Programme structure -The programme consists of three modules in total. Two e-learning modules are integrated with one face-to-face module. Each e-learning module takes around 15 minutes to complete with the face to face module running for 3 hours.

• Module 1 – Introducing ECB Support Coach – e-learning module

• Module 2 – Supporting coaching – face to face module

• Module 3 – Being an ECB Support Coach

There is a single face-to-face module that runs for three hours and includes:

1. Role of an ECB Support Coach

2. What does support coaching look like?

3. Coaching – your turn

4. Player welfare and safeguarding

5. Coaching fielding, bowling and batting

– your turn ECB Coach Developer guidance notes will provide further detail behind the outcomes and activities in each module.

 

 
As candidates are required to obtain an ECB DBS check prior to attending, please note the deadline for bookings is Friday 12th November.
