Match report With rain forecast later in the afternoon, the captains agreed to reduce the match to 80 overs although as it turned out the heavier rain didn't arrive until after 7pm, just annoying light drizzle for most of the afternoon. The visitors lost the toss and Rodders eventually opted to bat. Matt and Mobbsy jnr opened the batting and set about the Bury attack quickly taking the total to 24 before both were unfortunate to be caught behind. Rob and Ed then accumulated runs without dominating the bowling with the bowlers struggling with a wet ball. The partnership reached 125 before Rob was bowled for 68 with Ed falling shortly afterwards for 52. However, there was no let-up with Steve taking the total passed 200 before falling for 26. Bury struggled in reply losing a wicket - bowled by Rodders - in the first over followed by Dan removing the other opener and No 4 shortly afterwards to leave the score at 20 for 3 after 8 overs. The visiting No 3 offered resistance scoring an entertaining 36 before he fell at 69. The Bury youngsters offered stubborn resistance but were eventually bowled out for 94.
