Match report After the first loss last week Worly looked to bounce back to winning ways at East Bergholt as the weather returned to mid winter! Terry won the toss and elected to bat. On a low, slow, dry pitch Worly made a solid start with another 50 opening stand; however, Rob and Dom both fell when set. Ed, on his debut, kept the score ticking along, ably supported by Eric and Terry, going to his 50 with a 6 through the sightscreen! However, late wickets meant late scurrying by Graham and Dan was required to take the total passed 200 in the last of the 45 overs.
East Berholt made a slow start against some accurate bowling by Si and Sam. However, despite an early loss, the hosts started to match the required run rate and looked well set with only 2 wickets down and 128 on the board. Just as it looked as though another game may slip away, Terry and Mark removed the 2 'in' batsmen to break the back of the innings. Although the East Bergholt tailenders threatened at certain times in the final 10 overs, Mark and Sam closed out the innings with Mark's final analysis of 14-2-29-4 turning the game in Worly's favour.
