Match report A warm but very windy evening in Bedfield.

Worly won the toss and elected to field first. Yoxford's opening batsmen got off to a flying start with 35 runs off 4 overs; however, after a great catch from Harry and 2 wickets for Jack Marsh, our bowlers soon got accustomed to the strong wind and started to bowl really well reducing Yoxford's run rate to a point where they finished the 20 overs on 125 for 3.

After a chat in the changing room with Kevin, the boys set off confidently in search of the 126. Unfortunately, we lost Saul in the first over; however, despite losing further wickets, we continued to score heavily with another 50 from Matt and 2 strong performances from Harry and Toby on 17 apiece - their highest scores this season. Yoxford continued to be a threat and Worly finally reached the last 2 overs needing 7 to win with 5 wkts remaining. When 2 further wkts fell, the nerves were starting to show until Jack hit a '4' and a '2' to seal a 3 wkt victory with 3 balls to spare. A great and very exciting match to watch. Well done everyone

A big thanks you to Bev Bridges who not only brought Josh to play at such late notice but also supplied the biscuits and milk!!

Things to improve on for next time:
Bowlers to bowl practice balls to fielders, Walking-in and the Long Barrier but other than that PERFECT!!
