Worlingworth Cricket Club Won by 2 runs

Match report Matthew won the toss and elected to bat first.
George Wright and Matt Bensly opened the batting and got off to a really good start getting 29 runs before the fall of our first wicket in the 4th over Fred Dellow went into bat next and started to hit the ball around really well after the loss of fred it was down to the boys who haven't really had a chance to bat this season they did really well , a few hair raising running moments and a few silly decisions they managed to steer us to the 20th over with us finishing on 89 runs. Tom Norton playing in his debut match and scoring a credible 7 runs and hitting the only 4 on the Worly side ( I would like to point out that it was the adult boundary!!)
the boys knew what they were chasing and had to achieve and after some incredible bowling from our opening pair Harvey Whyman and Fred dellow Eye were only on 17 after 6 overs, with the loss of 3 wickets. George Wright bowled only giving eye another 12 runs and claiming a wicket. Matt was desperately short of bowlers and ended up handing over his wicket keeping kit to Nathan Grant who did a sterling job for the last 5 overs getting a stumping on the very last ball of the match. Will Bagnall and Matt had the unenviable job of bowling the last few overs to try and secure Worly our 3rd league victory. at the end of the 19th over eye were on 82 and needed 7 to draw and 8 to win after some most unexpected good bowling from Matt 1-7 Will Bagnall held his nerve and bowled a fantastic last over giving away only 6 runs under great pressure and finishing off with a well deserved wicket . the most nerve wracking match of the season but a most well deserved victory Well played everyone
