Match report On a very hot day at Clay Hall Worlingworth won the toss and put East Bergholt into bat. Just as it looked as though the opening pair were beginning to pull away Derek Cook bowled their opener which was followed by 3 quick wickets - one to Cook and 2 to Sam Chilvers during a rapid 8-over spell. The hosts #3 and #6 dug in moving the score to 70 before the introduction of Chris Wells and Martin Payne saw the final 6 wickets fall for only another 28 runs. Worlingworth made light work of the target taking 20 overs for only the loss of Terry Aldis - caught behind for 11. Dom Absolon and Chris Wells batted very maturely taking advantage of the fast outfield to finish on 33* and 34* respectively. A resounding 9 wicket victory.
