Match report After a blank week last week, Worly returned to action at a bright and sunny Sudbourne Hall ground. Rodders duly lost the toss and Worly were inserted; however, as it turned out, batting first was the best option with the wicket 'dying' as the game progressed. That said, Worly struggled initially losing David, Sam and Rob in quick succession. Mobbsy stabilised with Ed but he departed with the score at 54, followed shortly by DK. At drinks, nobody would have predicted the final score of 192 for 8 as the score stood at 55 for 5 with half the overs already completed. Mark had joined Ed and both played sensibly defending the good balls and scoring off the bad ones with excellent running proving key as they put Sudbourne on the back foot. Their partnership of 90 in 16 overs essentially won the game as Sudbourne's resistance crumbled. After an indifferent season, Worly's fielding was exceptional with catches by David, Harry and Dan P of particular note. Some excellent bowling by Dan P, Harry and Dexter meant that Sudbourne were never in the game and were all out after 26 overs still 121 runs adrift. Overall, except the initial wobble, a strong final away performance of the season by Worly and a fully deserved 20 pts.
